Class of 2018: Congratulations and Welcome to Harvard Business School!

As Co-Presidents of the Student Association (SA), we are proud to be among the first to welcome you into the HBS family. The entire SA executive team is looking forward to meeting each of you on-campus this fall and representing both your voice and our community over the coming academic year.

When we became SA co-Presidents, we made a commitment to not just serve our student body, but to make HBS a better, stronger community, a more inclusive environment, and a place where every individual has a voice that matters. Over the coming year, you’ll see programming from the SA that reflects our commitment to foster a more supportive and diverse community at HBS. From the roll-out of a *brand new* Diversity & Inclusion initiative and unconscious bias training, to fun Food Truck Fridays and RC / EC mixers, we plan to make the next year a rewarding and memorable experience for everyone at HBS.

But, before you make your way to Boston, we hope you are able to take some time over the next month to reflect. Reflect on all of the hard work, dedication, and sacrifice that made it possible for you to get to this place. Reflect on the different people and experiences that helped you along the way. And reflect on what you are hoping to get out of your HBS experience – because (take it from us!) the next two years are going to fly by.

In fact, just transitioning to #LifeatHBS will be a journey in itself. In order to help ease the shift to campus living, the SA is looking forward to hosting a number of events at "RC Orientation" – your first official welcome to campus.

What can you expect during RC Orientation? We’ll roll out the full schedule of events over the coming weeks, but it will feature activities and events like meditation and yoga, small group brunches and dinners, Color Block Party, Casino Night, and a diversity and inclusion mixer. The SA executive team is hard at work this summer planning RC Orientation so you can relax, reflect, and soak in your first moments of RC #LifeatHBS.

We look forward to seeing you in Boston in August. Enjoy the summer!

For HBS,

LaToya & Libby
